Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Franklin Conference Mission Board Involvement

Franklin Conference Mission Board is supporting the work of Kristalaya Mercy Missions in West Bengal, India.  The Mission Board is providing financial resources to support teachers and schools in the Midnapur and Siliguri areas of West Bengal.  The Mission Board has also raised funds to purchase a piece of land where a training and worship center is being built.  In 2007, Fran Martin (Salem Ridge) traveled to India to visit a friend.  During that trip she became acquainted with KMM.  She was drawn to their ministry among the Hindu and Muslim people.  Fran returned with a passion for India.  A proposal was presented and accepted by FMCMB and support began in November 2009.

Jagannath was raised in poverty and because his father was blind with no means of support, he often begged in the train stations to support the family.  There family became Christian when Jagannath was about 12 years old.  He was able to go to Bible school and received a Masters of Divinity. After working with Gospel for Asia for several years his heart was drawn back to his people in West Bengal. His passion is to see Jesus become known in West Bengal.  West Bengal is one of the world’s most unreached places with millions of people never having the opportunity to hear about Jesus and Christianity.  Only .5% of the people are Christian.  Hindu is the main religion but there are also a sizable number of Muslims.

KMM’s Mission Statement

“KMM is to follow the true ‘Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless’ through planting house churches among the most unreached Bengali language group by reaching, equipping, and raising indigenous character, and looking after the underprivileged children and families in their distress with the love our Lord Jesus.”
